Me and I
So how do you say that you and a friend did something together? Me and Dave? Dave and me? Dave and I? Let me break it down.
The rule is:
Use I or me how you would use it if you were by yourself.
Always put yourself last.
“John talked to me” would turn into “John talked to Dave and me”
“I went to the store” would turn into “Dave and I went to the...

When I would end a sentence with a word that belonged in quotes, I would also put the punctuation inside:
